Digital X-Ray & Diagnostics FAQs
Common questions answered about our digital X-ray imaging, safety, scheduling, and results.
Our digital X-ray and diagnostic services detect spinal misalignments, herniated discs, joint degeneration, fractures and other bony abnormalities. High-resolution images let chiropractors pinpoint issues and recommend targeted treatment or referrals when necessary.
Yes. Digital X-rays use modern sensors that require much lower radiation doses than film X-rays. We follow strict safety protocols, use shielding when appropriate, and only image necessary areas to minimize exposure while obtaining diagnostic-quality images for care decisions.
Most images are available immediately after capture. Your chiropractor reviews digital X-rays the same appointment and explains findings. If additional radiologist review or specialist input is needed, we expedite sharing and typically provide follow-up recommendations within 24 to 48 hours.
No referral is usually required for in-office digital X-rays at Connected Health Centennial. However, some insurance plans or external providers may request a referral. We’ll verify your insurance and advise if a referral or preauthorization is necessary before imaging.
Digital X-rays reveal alignment, joint spaces, degenerative changes, and fractures that inform diagnosis. This precise imaging helps chiropractors tailor adjustments, monitor progress, select therapies, and determine if additional testing or specialist referral is needed for comprehensive, effective care.
Yes. Digital images are easily and securely shared electronically with specialists, primary care providers, or insurers upon request. We obtain your consent, send encrypted files or reports, and can facilitate transfers to speed consultations, second opinions, or insurance claims.
